Cycle, taste, and create like a local in two of Valencia’s most authentic neighborhoods: Alboraya and Benimaclet

Duration: 4 hours
Location: Valencia
Experience the authentic heart of Valencia on this unique 4-hour countryside bike tour and artisan workshop experience, combining nature, local gastronomy, and hands-on cultural heritage in a way you won’t find anywhere else in the city.
Starting from a local bike shop in Valencia, we’ll enjoy an easy, flat ride through the fertile northern Valencian countryside. Cycling past orange groves, vegetable plots, and traditional irrigation canals that have shaped local life for centuries, you’ll discover the landscape where Valencia’s food culture truly begins.
Our ride leads us to Alboraya, the world’s largest producer of chufa (tiger nuts) and the birthplace of authentic Valencian horchata. Here, we’ll stop at a traditional alquería, a historic Valencian farm estate, where you’ll taste freshly made horchata paired with soft, local fartons. As you enjoy the flavors, you’ll learn how this iconic drink is produced and why it holds such an important place in Valencian identity.
After the tasting, we’ll cycle back toward the city and into Benimaclet, one of Valencia’s most traditional and creative neighborhoods. The experience continues with a hands-on artisan workshop, where you can choose between:
The tour finishes back at the bike shop, and you’ll leave not only with new knowledge, but with a handmade souvenir you created yourself.
Perfect for travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path Valencia, this experience blends light cycling, food culture, and local craftsmanship into one relaxed and immersive journey.
You will be using acrylic paints during the artisan workshop, so you may want to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy!
