Discover one of Valencia’s most cherished cultural traditions with a Jota Valenciana dance class and live demonstration in the heart of Benimaclet. This unique experience takes place in our warm, indoor garden studio inspired by a traditional huerto valenciano, offering the perfect setting to connect with the folklore, rhythm, and spirit of the Valencian people.
Guided by a local Jota dancer and cultural expert, you’ll learn about the history, symbolism, and origins of the Valencian Jota; a lively folk dance that has been passed down through generations and remains a central part of festivals, celebrations, and regional identity. Discover how the music, steps, movements, and costumes tell stories of community, heritage, and joy.
Your instructor will begin with a live demonstration of the traditional Valencian Jota, complete with authentic music (dulzaina, tabalet, or Spanish guitar), so you can fully appreciate its rhythm and emotion. Then, enjoy a fun, interactive dance class tailored to beginners and all ages. You’ll learn the basic steps, footwork, hand movements, and partner sequences, feeling the energy and passion that make the Jota such an iconic part of Valencian culture.

The remaining balance is paid on the day of the tour.
