Learn one of the versions of the Spain’s most famous dance, Flamenco, with this cultural dance class and demonstration in Valencia, complete with castanets

Duration: 1 hour
Location: Spain Memories – Benimaclet, Valencia
Availability: 8 pax minimum for a private class
Experience the passion, rhythm, and soul of Spain in this Flamenco or Sevillanas dance class held in the artistic neighborhood of Benimaclet. Inside our warm, indoor garden studio inspired by a traditional huerto valenciano, a professional local dancer will guide you through the expressive movements, music, and meanings behind two of Spain’s most iconic dance styles.
Begin with an introduction to the origins and history of Flamenco and Sevillanas, from Andalusian folk roots to modern festival performances. Your instructor will explain the cultural symbolism of the hand movements, footwork, posture, rhythms, and emotional expression that define each style. You’ll learn how dancers communicate through braceo (arm movements), zapateado (footwork), and traditional choreography.
Your instructor will perform a short demonstration so you can feel the energy and artistry of the dance before beginning your own lesson. Then you will learn step-by-step choreography adapted to your level, with traditional Flamenco music or Sevillanas playing in the background.
This is one of the most memorable cultural experiences in Valencia, ideal for couples, families, friends, or anyone curious about Spanish dance. No experience is needed; just comfortable shoes and an open heart to enjoy a truly passionate Spanish tradition. You’ll finish energized, confident, and with a deeper connection to Spain’s artistic heritage.
Wear comfortable breathable clothes, and if you have heels so you make a sound when you dance, even better!
