Dive in to a full day of Valencia with one of our local guides on a private tour! Nestled along the sunny Costa Azahar – the orange blossom coast – lies our beautiful, city of Valencia, where ancient history meets modern innovation and everything in between. If you have some time to spend with us, we encourage you to stop and smell the roses – or more accurately the orange blossoms!
Your private, bilingual guide will pick you up from a destination of your choosing and take you to Malvarossa Beach, a favorite hangout of Ernest Hemingway in his time and a great place to have a coffee, a caña, or a vino while watching the waves lap at the sandy shore.
Your guide will show you the secrets of the famous City of Arts and Sciences and take you past the original, medieval city gates before you enter the bustling, pedestrian historic city center where you’ll find ancient Roman ruins at the L’Almoina underground archeological museum.
You’ll also visit La Lonja Silk Exchange, our prized UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s greatest examples of gothic architecture.
Of course, you’ll have a chance to see the Basilica and Saint Mary’s Cathedral in the Plaza de la Virgen and our main town square, Plaza Ayuntamiento, where locals and tourists gather together or business and leisure. Your guide will help you expertly maneuver the busy Mercado Central or Central Market, where locals buy and sell fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, wines, and more. If you’re visiting us on a Sunday or holiday, the Central Market will be closed, but don’t worry! We can still pass by the outside to admire the Art Nouveau style architecture.
After all that discovery, you’re sure to work up an appetite. All of our full day tours include time for a lunch of your choice, whether that be the famous Valencian paella or a sampler of different tapas. Your guide will make your lunch reservation at a local restaurant in the city center, at the beach, or for our foodies out there, at one of our three Michelin star restaurants.
We love our full day city tour because our travelers can experience everything the city has to offer with a local guide, complete with a tasty local lunch. All of our Full Day Tours include private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle and private, bilingual, local guide. Your guide will pick up from a destination of your choosing at the beginning of your tour and drop you off at your hotel, the port, the city center, or any other destination in the city at the end of your tour. Your tour also includes entrance to two museums or monuments of your choice. We love taking travelers into L’Almoina Archeological Museum and La Lonja Silk Exchange, but of course the choice is yours!

Meeting Point: Train Station, Bus Station, Port, Hotel, or Destination of Your Choice
We are happy to arrange a meeting point that is most convenient for you. We will gladly collect you and drop you off free of charge anywhere in the vicinity of the city center, port, beach, or City of Arts and Sciences. We would also be delighted to pick you up or drop you off outside of the city center or at the airport for a small fee.
***For Port Pick Ups Only: Your private guide will meet you at the ‘Acciona Transmediterranea terminal’ at the cruise ship port, where your ship might be docking anyway. If you dock elsewhere, you will be at a pier a bit further away with restricted access for vehicles and private pick-ups. In this case, the port authorities will provide a shuttle bus, free of charge, that takes about 5 minutes to get to the Acciona Transmediterranea Terminal, which is the only place private pick-ups are allowed. Your guide will be waiting for you at the terminal with a sign in your name.
Transportation:
- 4 people or fewer – Mercedes Class B (similar to a small SUV).
- 4-6 people – Chrysler Grand Voyager with tinted windows, leather seats, and electric doors.
- 7+ people – Private coach with a driver, in addition to your guide.
IMPORTANT NOTE (for groups of 6): In my larger touring car, the middle two seats are spacious and comfortable, and the back seat is a three-person bench seat that might be a tight squeeze for some. Before I can confirm a booking for six people with this vehicle, I will need confirmation that you understand this arrangement before I accept the booking. If you prefer, I would be happy to arrange a private coach and driver in addition to your guide. Please let me know that this is your preference when you submit your pre-booking form.

*Please note that while every full day tour includes time for lunch, the price of lunch is not included in the price of the tour, as it will need to be paid directly to the restaurant on the day. We would be delighted to organize lunch for you at a local restaurant within your preferred budget. If you prefer, your guide can accompany you to lunch to assist you with translating and ordering, or you can meet with your guide after your meal has finished.
