Discover the natural heart of Valencia in a perfectly paced day that blends coastal beauty, Mediterranean forest, and the serene magic of the L’Albufera lagoon.
We’ll begin by picking you up directly from your lodging in Valencia and heading south to the charming town of El Saler, gateway to the protected Albufera Natural Park. Here, we’ll collect our bikes and set off along a gentle, flat route that follows the beachside bike path, an area of untouched dunes and coastline that feels worlds away from the city’s lively waterfront. From the shore, our ride leads us into the cool shade of the Mediterranean pine forest, following quiet trails that guide us toward the lagoon. We’ll pause at a bird sanctuary, where, with a bit of luck, we may spot wild flamingos and other native species before continuing on to our boat launch.
Next comes one of the day’s highlights: a peaceful 45-minute boat ride across the mirror-like waters of the Albufera. As we glide along, you’ll enjoy open views of traditional A-frame barraca farmhouses, migratory birdlife, and the silhouette of Valencia and its neighboring towns in the distance.
Afterward, we’ll stop for a well-earned lunch, usually a regional specialty Valencian rice dish such as duck and foie gras stew, a classic Paella Valencia, a seafood paella, or one of the many local variations that make this area famous for its rice culture. Our return ride takes us along a different forest path, offering new scenery before we drop off the bikes and bring you back to the city in our private vehicle.
With relaxed timing, beautiful landscapes, and seamless private transport, this experience offers an unforgettable look at the wilder, quieter side of Valencia—perfect for savoring nature, taking photos, and simply enjoying the moment.

- The price of lunch is not included in the tour cost (to allow for flexibility) and will need to be paid directly to the restaurant on the day. We would be delighted to help organize lunch for you at a local restaurant within your preferred budget. If you like, your guide can accompany you to assist with translating and ordering, or you can meet your guide after your meal has finished.
